My Saturday morning so far, documented with Instagram.
- My Maocat, bought in Amsterdam earlier this year. He makes me smile
- The view from my balcony.
- Picked up my Topshop purchases today. R560 in customs later (!!!wtf!!!) and I have my cute leather bow pumps on my feet.
- Brie, bacon and peppadew croissant breakfast at Arnold’s.
Its been a good day so far. Spring cleaning on the cards next…
Didn’t do anything because I was tired from a crazy week at work.
Meh. Bought a pricy pair of jeans. Whoop whoop.
I’m starting to notice a startling pattern here…
I spent most of my weekend at Toffie Popular Culture Festival, which was pretty cool. But the real winner for me was the venue – Cape Town City Hall, which was erected in 1903. I had no idea such beautiful buildings even existed in Cape Town, and having access to it for 3 days felt like a real privilege.
Long weekend and wedding in Hermanus. Lots of relaxing fun.
Was lovely spending time with extended family and watching my oldest cousin getting married. The wedding was simple and untraditional in the best way possible.
Breakfast at the Hermanus beachfront. Cheesy touristy shopping for sunglasses. Spit-braai with family. Late night jaunts to the Engen for dessert.
Packed up early and headed home on the coastal route. Stopped off at my favourite bookstore – Bikini Beach Books in Gordon’s Bay. Got back home just in time to… work. Heh well at least the weekend started off well!
Hmm… So nothing much happened around these parts this weekend.
I mended curtains and workedworkedworked while watching copious amounts of How I Met Your Mother and Arrested Development. At the end of all of it I felt a little bit like this.
